The new West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) is now in place.
Following on from the first meeting on 1 April, the West Yorkshire & York Investment Committee then met on 15 May.
The committee provides the Combined Authority with strategic and economic advice and appraisal of investment decisions. It will be the gateway for projects and programmes seeking city region funding.
The scope of work initially focuses on West Yorkshire and York, but could later take on a wider city region remit when legislative change allows it to do so. The new European Funding Round is likely to be the first additional area of activity.
The Investment Committee next meets in Bradford on 16 July.
