Wheel-y important stuff

Plans are in motion to improve all aspects of cycling in Bradford.

An event took place in January 2017 to highlight some of the activities planned and proposals for improvements, or to take advantage of other related developments.

A ‘Cycling Summit’ in City Hall described 2017 as a “pivotal year for cycling Bradford.” ┬áCouncillors and senior officers attended to hear about the plans, some of which are listed below.

  • Stage 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire (late April)
  • Updated Cycling Strategy
  • City Connect Cycle Superhighway (infrastructure improvement)
  • Cycle Cities Conference
  • Bradford Sports Awards (February)
  • Yorkshire Bank Bike Libraries
  • Bikeability
  • Cycling Hub development
  • Active Tourism

The co-ordinator behind the plans is John Dennis. More information is available at cyclebradford.org.uk or activebradford.com
