Universal AV Services held its first annual sales and supplier conference on the 28th and 29th April, at Swinton Park, Masham.
The two day event, saw the Universal sales and project management teams come together with key suppliers and manufacturers to the audio visual industry for first and foremost work, with a little fun added into the mix.
Celebrating its 26th year in business the conference provided Universal with the ideal opportunity to focus activities, cement existing relationships and plan projects for the forthcoming year ahead.
Swinton Park provided the perfect setting for internal meetings, and supplier presentations on product development – a common message from all was “once you have seen this presentation it will self-destruct in 30 seconds”.
Over the last 25 years Universal has formed key strategic partnerships with the suppliers in attendance including Panasonic, Dalen Top-Tec, Medium Distribution, Crestron, Epson, Extron, Kramer, Harman, Red Solutions and Midwich. The sales conference provided the opportunity to share information and plan on how we can develop relationships further to target markets and verticals and plan key marketing campaigns together.
Being in the 17th Century Castle prompted some fun team building activities with Shooting within the grounds being on the agenda for the afternoon, that was once everyone had checked it and wound their way back down to reception through the various maze of secret passage ways and corridors. A very grand evening dinner took place in the library where the winners were presented. Downton Abbey, eat your heart out!
Nick Fitzpatrick, Managing Director at Universal AV Services commented: “The supplier sales event proved to be a huge success for suppliers and Universal alike. It was our intention not to be product specific but be more strategic in looking at emerging technologies, potential markets and how we can create opportunities together. A huge part of our success over the last 25 years has been developing relationships and this was a great environment to enhance them. The comments we have received from suppliers have been outstanding, and everyone is already looking forward to the next event later in the year.”
