Summer Experience Bradford 2015

Summer Experience is a placement scheme from the University of Bradford that offers businesses the opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic undergraduate student for a six week project based placement between the end of May and September 2015 in a cost effective way. The students receive a salary of £250 per week, processed and administered by the University and this year they are able to offer funding for the six weeks dependant on the following criteria, ie:

– Charity – 100% funded for 6 weeks (cost to business = £0)

– SME (less than 250 employees) –  60% funded for 6 weeks (cost to business = £600)

The University can support you in drafting a placement Brief and will advertise your opportunity to all their first and second year students.  Support with the initial recruitment & selection process is also available.

Again this year they will run their awards ceremony to find the best student.  All providers of summer experience placements will be asked to nominate their placement student for a number of categories if you feel they have done a great job for you over the summer.  The University will also be asking the placement students to nominate their providers for a number of awards; a fun and inspiring way to recognise all the hard work providers and students put in to delivering a fantastic summer experience programme.

Businesses that have a project in mind should complete this brief here and return it Urfan Faqir.
