Law firms merge

Law firms Worger Howcroft  and AWB Charlesworth have merged.

The new practice will offer expert legal services to business and private clients around Skipton, Keighley, Bingley and Bradford.  Current directors of Worger Howcroft Solicitors, Andrew and Amanda Worger will become partners at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors on 1 April 2016 to make this ten-partner law firm, with sixty staff across four offices.

Umberto Vietri, partner at AWB Charlesworth Solicitors says ‘Worger Howcroft Solicitors already has an excellent and well established reputation in Bingley and the merger with AWB Charlesworth Solicitors will enable a full range of specialist legal services to be offered to the existing private and business clients of the Bingley office. The bringing together of our practices will also strengthen and build up our growing base of clients and contacts throughout the Aire Valley towards our recently opened Bradford office.’

Worger Howcroft Solicitors, established in Bingley in 2002 have built up an excellent reputation in and around the local area over the years and share AWB Charlesworth’s values of expert legal advice and client care. AWB Charlesworth Solicitors has a practice history stretching 250 years, created by the merging of 3 Yorkshire Legal Practices (former Armstrong Wood & Bridgman, Charlesworth Wood & Brown & Umberto Vietri Business Lawyers). Many of the partners and fee earners have trained and worked in city centre firms, bringing to their clients a wealth of specialised experience and knowledge.

Andrew Worger says “The main objective of bringing the two firms together is growth and the greater opportunity to extend the legal services which we are able to offer clients. The combined teams of the newly merged practice will be able to provide a depth of experience and expertise in areas of Wills, Trusts and Probate; Commercial Law; Property and Agricultural Law; Family Law; Litigation; Employment law and Business Law. We are looking forward to this opportunity to offer new and existing clients our full range of expert legal support and we are delighted to move forward as part of a progressive and successful firm.”
