Sadeh Lok staff in festive foodbank boost

Kind hearted staff at Huddersfield-based housing group, Sadeh Lok, have donated bags full of food, toiletries and other basic essentials to a local charity supporting people in crisis.

The donations were welcomed by staff and volunteers at the Welcome Centre who give out up to 200 packs a week of food and other items to households in South Kirklees.

Over the last few weeks staff at Trafford House have been bringing everything from pasta and tinned food to bedding and kitchen items such as cups, pans and plates.

Hussain Brook, Head of Sadeh Lok – part of the Incommunities Group –  said: “I would like to thank staff who have given so generously to help both individuals and families in real need.

“These donations will support the invaluable work of everyone at the Welcome Centre at a time when demand is at its highest and hopefully bring some comfort to those households struggling to make ends meet.”

Emma Greenough from the Welcome Centre, said: “With demand on our services rising more and more, we rely on the support of businesses, communities and the public.

“Everyone at the Welcome Centre really appreciates the fantastic donations made by Sadeh Lok. Your contribution will really make a real difference to our clients – thank you.”
