Rone gets lead in Hallmark move

Rone Design has been appointed as the lead architectural consultant and will head up Hallmark UK’s Head Office move in Bradford.

Last month, Hallmark UK announced plans to consolidate its Bradford-based operations into a single site which will see the company move its Bingley Road Head Office to its existing Dawson Lane site, a transition that is expected to take around a year to complete.

As well as reflecting the company’s current size and needs, the move will see the creation of a dedicated creative and design space and will bring head office closer to the distribution centre side of Hallmark UK, allowing the overall business to be more connected.

As part of its role as lead architectural consultant, Rone Designs will oversee the following works at Dawson Lane:

  • Construction of new mezzanine floors within the existing Dawson Lane warehouse to create the additional office space required.
  • The existing low level ground floor area, which currently serves as a warehouse, will be transformed into office space to house Hallmark’s creative team. Additional mezzanine floor spaces will be installed to create breakout and creative space.
  • The existing office space and canteen facilities will be refurbished to give them a more contemporary and modern feel.
  • Finally, a series of external alterations will be carried out, which will include reroofing parts of the roof above the new/existing office accommodation.
