Revamp for city shopping centre

A £3.8 million revamp of Bradford’s Oastler Shopping Centre looks set to get the go-ahead this week.

The Council will decide later this week whether to approve the financial aspect of the plans which would see a glazed extension, Rawson Road and Northgate being pedestrianized and covered for outdoor events, and enhanced food offering.

A two-day food and drink festival is planned for Northgate in October.  A second stage to the improvement plan involves a new floor and stalls.
