Plans exhibited for former PO site

Businesses are invited to see the plans to redevelop at the former Royal Mail sorting office.

A public exhibition takes place over two days at Forster Square Retail Park on Valley Road (in the car park) to view British Land’s proposals for a new leisure destination for the city centre.  There has been much speculation on would happen with this site since the office closed two years ago.  It is viewed as a key connection between the successful retail park and the new Broadway centre, which opens on 5 November.

The public sessions are:

– Friday 11 Sep, 10-6pm

– Saturday 12 Sep, 10-2pm

Other stakeholders have been invited to a preview session on the Thursday evening.  The Chamber has also invited British Land’s PR body to speak to one of its policy groups.

British Land hopes to convert Forster Court into a scheme that includes a cinema, gym, cafes and restaurants.
