New Bradford office for AWB

Skipton and Keighley based Law Firm AWB Charlesworth go full steam ahead towards the opening of their Bradford office recently.

Exciting times prevail for this growing Yorkshire firm, as their Commercial Department expands to open a third office in Bradford city centre. AWB Charlesworth will be offering full commercial and employment law services to business clients based in and around Bradford.

AWB Charlesworth has a practice history stretching 250 years, created by the merging of 3 Yorkshire Legal Practices (former Armstrong Wood & Bridgman, Charlesworth Wood & Brown & Umberto Vietri Business Lawyers- all Keighley and Skipton based). The Firm has eight partners and over fifty staff across all three offices.

Whilst AWB Charlesworth are clearly looking to grow their commercial presence, the firm also specialises in Wills, Trusts and Probate; Property and Agricultural Law; Family Law, Litigation, Employment Law and Business Law. Many of the Partners and Fee Earners have trained and worked in city centre firms and bring with them a wealth of specialised experience and knowledge.

More specifically on their Commercial offering, AWB Charlesworth handle the full range of Corporate and Business Law work. They have special expertise in dealing with business sales and acquisitions, management buy-outs, company reorganisations and advising on employment law implications. Shareholder and joint venture documentation, share schemes, commercial contracts and agreements are handled by the team on a regular basis to ensure transactions are completed punctually and within budget.

Their new Bradford office (located in the City Hub building, Little Germany, Bradford) will see Umberto Vietri (Partner- Commercial and Employment Law) heading up the Commercial team.

Speaking about the imminent Bradford office opening, Umberto Vietri said:

“These are exciting times for the Firm. Since our merger we have continued to grow and develop in all areas of the business and have continually looked to grow our commercial presence. We see opening a commercial office in Bradford as a great opportunity for us and hope that our high level of service and specialist business law knowledge will add value to the Bradford commercial scene. Our aim is to provide businesses in Bradford with a professional and efficient business law service at a price which we believe to be very competitive… “

Alongside the new office opening, AWB Charlesworth has appointed a permanent Marketing Executive (Melanie Crewe), to support their practice development plans. Melanie will be working across the 3 offices, with particular involvement in the Bradford office opening.

Since joining the firm only a few weeks ago, Melanie said: “to work for a law firm with such a refreshing, honest and down to earth approach towards their clients is rewarding enough, but to be in the midst of such an exciting time of growth and expansion is a fantastic position for me to be in. Certainly the next few months will be a great challenge for us all, but one which we whole-heartedly believe will be a huge success. We are all very excited about the opportunity to serve new and existing clients in and around Bradford from our new base at CityHub.”

From left to right we have: Roger Armstrong, Julie Bridgman, Declan Hayes, Alan Davison, David Tear, Umberto Vietri, Liam O’Neill, James Dunn, Martin Wood and central Felicity Green (Practice Manager).
