Love Bradford: Thurs 15 Sep, 11.30 – volunteers sought

Volunteers are being encouraged to take part in a mass participation event to promote and celebrate Bradford.

On Thursday 15 September at 11:30, a 3-hour #Love Bradford event in City Park will includes music, dancing, food and big surprises culminating in a world record attempt to symbolise and celebrate unity and togetherness in the city. The world record is to have more than 2,000 people in the longest chain of people making heart-shaped hand gestures.

The aim is primarily to involve school children celebrating the diversity of the district’s young people; help raise aspirations and positivity; so far more than 1,300 have registered to attend. Students, employees, faith groups, sports clubs members, and any willing member of the public are invited to help break the record and demonstrate our love for Bradford.

There will be extensive media coverage through social media, Bradford Telegraph & Argus, TV and radio. The enthusiasm so far, for the project has been overwhelming and it is sure to be a day not to be forgotten. The local business community is invited to share in the event and help break the world record.

Sponsorship is being sought and more info is available on EventBrite here.
