London rail service to continue

Grand Central rail company has been given the go-ahead to continue operating London-Bradford services until 2026.

The contract for Grand Central was due to expire in 2016 but an extension was applied for and granted by the rail regulator.  The company says it can now make plans for new investment, and support future economic growth for the North (it also operates a London service to Sunderland).

You can receive regular updates from Grand Central about their services, special offers and news by registering with their website here.

Although not widely used as a business service, the London-Bradford service is at least direct and sustains that direct link between the District and the capital that many businesses call for.
