Join in the Bananagrams Challenge

At Reading Matters we believe that word games are important as they are a fun way to engage children with literacy and Bananagrams is one of our favourites!  Those of you who attended our conference received a complimentary Bananagrams game in your delegate pack and hopefully enjoyed trying the game out already in class or at home. This autumn Bananagrams are running a national competition for all KS2 pupils, which is free to enter and will encourage word play and language development in schools.

The BANANAGRAMS Challenge provides KS2 pupils with an enjoyable, interactive way to develop language skills through playing and learning with words. Created by the makers of the best-selling word game BANANAGRAMS, the Challenge is open to pupils aged 7-11 (years 3, 4, 5 and 6) and is free to enter for any UK School.

Last year, 500 schools took part – and the feedback from teachers is amazing! Most of us already know that encouraging children to play with words and language can really boost their vocabulary and improve their spelling… But to hear so many teachers agree that BANANANGRAMS is a fantastic classroom tool is music to our ears!

The 2016 Challenge is FREE & easy to enter, engages pupils and promotes learning… All participating schools will receive a FREE Welcome Pack worth over £40 (which includes TWO FREE BANANAGRAMS games).  AND on top of all that …. if you find this year’s ‘Top Banana’, your school could be £1000 better off!
