Staff and customers at Incommunities have made equality pledges as part of their celebrations to mark International Women’s Day (8th March).
Members of the housing group’s Equality Steering Group ran an information awareness session and quiz at their Shipley base on the theme of gender equality.
Scores of messages were posted on a ‘pledge wall’ to show how colleagues value the contribution of women as well as tackling discrimination and inequality.
The theme of International Women’s Day is ‘Be Bold for Change’ which calls for a more gender equal society and encourages women and girls to achieve their potential.
Geraldine Howley, Incommunities’ Group Chief Executive, said: “As an inclusive employer we are committed to promoting equality and diversity and helping both female and male staff achieve their ambitions.
“This year sees a host of events across Bradford celebrating the contribution of women from all walks of life. Incommunities is proud to again be a part of International Women’s Day.”
