The Bradford Chamber of Commerce‘s annual dinner saw the introduction of this year’s chosen beneficiary charity The Linking Network. The successful event saw funds raised for the Bradford based charity that will go towards the Linking Network’s work within schools and the community.
Linda Cowie from the Linking Network spoke of the impact working with the Bradford Chamber of Commerce would have for them. “The Linking Network is very grateful for the support of Bradford Chamber of Commerce. The money raised at their annual dinner will go toward furthering our work linking children and young people across the Bradford District. We would like to thank Andy Caton and the whole team for believing in and supporting our work. ”
Speaking about the Chamber’s connection to the charity, Bradford Chamber of Commerce President Andy Caton Said; “I’m delighted the Bradford Chamber of Commerce has chosen the Linking Network as this year’s annual charity. The Linking Network for those that aren’t familiar is a fantastic organisation, it’s there to support children, bring communities together and improve diversity.”
The charities work has a far reaching impact and beyond schools. Its role in improving future opportunities is something that made the Chamber of Commerce and president Andy Caton take notice: “It’s important for the city, it’s important for community cohesion and ultimately it’s important for business, as these are the employees of the future.”
“The annual dinner is a great event and is always well attended; we had well over 300 people in attendance this year and we raised £2236.50 for the Linking Network as a result which is a great outcome. Ultimately the Annual dinner is a brilliant networking opportunity for local businesses and this year’s event was no exception.”
