Careers Summer Experience from UoB

SummerExperience@Bradford is offering organisations the opportunity to recruit an undergraduate student into a six week placement during the summer vacation period between the end of May and September.

Students are paid a training allowance of £225. In some cases, an offer of a further subsidy on the cost of this allowance can ensure a low risk and cost effective solution:

  • If you are a charity or voluntary organisation, 100% of the training allowance is funded for 6 weeks
  • If you are an SME (less than 250 employees),  60% of the training allowance is funded meaning a cost of just £540 for 6 weeks
  • If you are a large organisation (with over 250 employees) it will cost only £1,350 for 6 weeks of full time work.

Contracting and payroll processes will also be organised on your behalf.

The internships are easy to set up, with minimal administration, and support is available throughout.
The students taking part in the scheme have excellent technical, research, analytical, business focused and specialist skills that could make a real impact on your organisation. Typical placement projects in previous years have covered marketing, research, product development, social media, website design, youth work and many more.
