Melissa Metcalfe from Bradford is the lucky winner of a brand new car having made a donation to JCT600’s charity fundraising at its Vauxhall Bradford dealership on Sticker Lane this Easter, giving her the chance to enter a free draw.

Yorkshire-based family motor retailer JCT600 offered the competition from 30 March to 12 April at its 50 dealerships in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and the North East.  All customers who made a recommended minimum donation of £1 to the company’s nominated charity of the year, Alzheimer’s Society, were invited to take part.  Melissa was picked at random from over 1,000 entrants and has been presented with a five door hatchback Kia Picanto worth £8,000 in white, courtesy of JCT600.

Melissa, 27, works as an administrator at a solicitors firm in Leeds.  She commented: “I’m absolutely shocked, I just can’t believe it.  I heard about the competition and went down to the dealership to make a donation to Alzheimer’s Society – my nan had Alzheimer’s so it’s a charity that’s close to my heart.  I thought I might as well enter the free draw, but never thought I’d win.  In fact, having seen a car I really liked while I was in the showroom, I ended up buying a Corsa a few days later, so I now have two cars!”

John Tordoff, chief executive of  JCT600, said: “The competition once again proved extremely popular with customers visiting our showrooms over Easter and this year had the added advantage of helping us to support our chosen charity for 2015. Many thanks to everyone who took part and helped us to raise an impressive £2,619 for Alzheimer’s Society and congratulations to Melissa -we hope you enjoy driving your new Kia!”
