Bradford College are hosting the national final of the South Asian Curry Chef Competition within The Grove Restaurant located in The David Hockney Building. The competition is open to all restaurants and their chefs and any restaurant nominated by their customers for their Asian Cuisine. The competitors are asked to produce creative, adventurous, innovative dishes using their own original recipes in a bid to win the title of The UK South Asian Chef 2015 and a cheque of £2000. There is also a 2nd prize of £1000 and a 3rd prize of £750. The chefs are all assisted by Bradford College Hospitality and Catering students who are acting as commis chefs and the competitor’s skills will be measured by a panel of influential chef judges representing the Craft Guild of Chefs and the Catering Industry.
Prizes, trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winners at the Annual Aagrah Charity Dinner held in Rotherham. In addition there will be two special trophies together with £100 each awarded for the most innovative dish and health conscious dish.
