Customers of JCT600 in Leeds were able to preview the new Bentley Bentayga, heralded as Bentley’s most significant launch in over a decade, when it debuted at the Leeds dealership this week (21 and 22 October). As the luxury car manufacturer’s first sports utility vehicle (SUV), the Bentayga takes Bentley’s world-class engineering, design and craftsmanship to create one of the most exclusive and luxurious SUVs available today.
The vehicle body is made from a combination of aluminium and high-strength steel, maximising rigidity whilst retaining the elegant lines for which Bentley is known. A highly-efficient 12-cylinder engine delivers the best power, torque and economy combination of any SUV, delivering both on and off-road performance.
Launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month, the handcrafted vehicle has more than ten new driver assistance systems including night-vision, pedestrian warning and city braking and is being heralded as the company’s most significant launch in over a decade.
Michael Carr, general manager at JCT600’s Bentley dealership in Leeds, said: “The Bentayga is the most technologically advanced and intuitive Bentley ever produced and, being the company’s first SUV, it introduces the brand to a wider audience as well as presenting a different offering to existing customers.
“Being able to showcase it to our customers here in Leeds so soon after its launch is really exciting. We are confident that its performance, practicality and refinement will have great appeal and this luxury vehicle will create an entirely new segment in the SUV market.”
JCT600 has 50 dealerships and sells 18 of the world’s most respected brands such as Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW/MINI, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. The group now has a workforce of over 2,000 people.
