Law firm assists national franchise

National franchise, Belvoir, renowned for its sales and lettings services, has said the market is not slowing down. Their Otley office followed suit, having been successfully established by Managing Director Glenn Broadwell since April 2008.

Towards the latter part of 2015, the Otley branch was due a refurb to keep up to date with the overall ‘Belvoir’ re-brand and their lease was fast approaching its renewal date.  Glenn recognised that they were outgrowing their Otley premises and made the decision to take new premises in Guiseley to better service the volumes of sales and lettings work coming in.

AWB Charlesworth Solicitors’ Commercial Property Partner James Dunn was instructed by Glenn on 1st December 2015, overseeing the project and enabling the keys of a former 20 year old ‘Age UK’ Charity Shop to be handed over on 4th January 2016- a remarkable timescale with Christmas and New Year falling in the middle!

Speaking of working with James Dunn (AWB Charlesworth Solicitors) on the purchase of the Guiseley office Glenn said:

Glenn has played a pivotal part in the entire re-furbishing project and has had ongoing supported throughout by his team Aimee Jordan and Sarah Cockshott who have worked alongside him for 8 and 6 years respectively. Also In January 2016 right in the midst of the activity Craig Mitchell was appointed to join the team. The relocation process was managed seamlessly with the team shutting the Otley office doors on Saturday 5th March only to start trading on Monday 7th March in Guiseley.

In addition to the Guiseley Office, Glenn is the MD of an office in Victoria Mills and between the two sites they cover areas from Ilkley, Bingley, Crossflatts and Shipley right through to the suburbs of Leeds including Cookridge. As a team the Guiseley office manages anything from 270-300 properties- with approximately 25 currently available for rent. Their team will be expanding in the near future and Glenn will be looking for colleagues who can continue to raise their award winning profile. This includes an ESTA’s award voted for by the public; Bronze award for the best office in Yorkshire and the Humber (from around 9,000 other offices) and silver award for ‘Acquisition of the year’ which led to Glenn doubling size of the business in 2 years.
