Women@Work celebrates their 15th event at the Old School Room, Haworth.
The Professional Networking Group Women@Work continues to move from strength to strength following their sell out event in December 2016, held at the Coniston Hotel.
The forthcoming event will be held on 6th April 2017 at the Old School Room Haworth. Co-organisers Felicity Green, Practice Manager of AWB Charlesworth Solicitors and Emma Sadler-Mason, Private Banking Manager at NatWest wanted to profile business woman Kath Thornton who runs the successful Bronte Bars and Events Company and the Haworth Beer Festival each April.
Haworth has been in spotlight with the recent BBC drama ‘To Walk Invisible’ which chronicled the life of the Bronte family. The Flying Scotsman will be coming through the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at Haworth on the same weekend.
The 6th April event will begin at 6pm with drinks provided by local businesswoman Gillian Venning of the Temperance Sprit Co followed by a hearty meal served in the Old Schoolroom. Kath Thornton’s team will then treat the guests to cocktail making demonstrations and tasting, together with samples of the many local beers and ciders which will be showcased over the rest of the Haworth Beer Festival weekend. The guests will then hear from both Kath Thornton and Gillian Venning about their journey as women in business and the evening will provide plenty of opportunities for networking.
Emma Sadler-Mason said “We are looking forward to our 15th Women@Work Event. We welcome many many businesswomen from throughout the Aire Valley to these networking events and in addition to the great opportunity to share contact details and learn about one another’s businesses, we especially enjoy the chance to hear a particular career story from our host. This forthcoming event at Haworth will be no different and we know that all our guests will go away inspired and enthused after hearing Kath and Gillian’s stories”.
