Yorkshire based manufacturer Acorn Stairlifts has announced a first for the industry as the only national stairlift company to be awarded the Trustmark accreditation for installation and customer care through TrustMark.
The only Government-endorsed scheme for all trades in and around the home, TrustMark acts as a signpost to help homeowners find local firms and expert tradespeople, providing them with choice, confidence and protection.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, Acorn Stairlifts maintains the quality of service to its customers by employing its own highly skilled teams of installers. The Trustmark accreditation is not the only “first” for Acorn Stairlifts because it also recently was the first national stairlift company to receive the Ease-of-Use Commendation by the Arthritis Foundation.
All TrustMark registered firms are onsite inspected, vetted and agree to work to Government-endorsed standards of technical competence and fair-trading prior to listing and are then monitored for compliance.
TrustMark is the only scheme that visits domestic premises to inspect the work done. They also speak to those for whom it was done to gain their experience as part of the accreditation process.
Acorn Stairlifts selected Independence CIC (INCIC) to conduct the on-site assessment process because they are a TrustMark scheme operator focused solely on the Domestic Sector and on trades working in and around the home. INCIC brought ‘HOME ADAPTATIONS – ELDERLY & DISABLED’ to the TrustMark listing in 2013. Now in 2015 INCIC are pleased to announce that they have brought ‘STAIRLIFTS’ as a new trade listing for TrustMark.
Jon Hines, Founder of INCIC, said, “We are delighted to award Acorn Stairlifts this certificate to recognise its commitment to making the customer experience during installation, use and aftercare second to none.”
INCIC Inspector Clive Vare added, “I was delighted to record such positive experiences from those who had Acorn engineers in their homes and how the products have transformed their lives. Due to its national coverage these domestic checks will continue to give consumers peace of mind wherever they live and provide valuable independent feedback on their service to Acorn. ”
Dave Belmont, Company Secretary of Acorn Stairlifts said, “Achieving TrustMark accreditation means a lot to us being an independent endorsement of our commitment to excellence in customer care. The ongoing national assessments serve to give our customers greater comfort, confidence and reassurance wherever they live.”
Simon Ayers, Chief Executive of TrustMark, added: “We are delighted that Acorn Stairlifts has received TrustMark status following its recent application through TrustMark Scheme Operator, Independence CIC. ‘STAIRLIFTS’ is a new trade for TrustMark and consumers are now able to find good trusted and expert stairlift installers when looking to carry out work on their properties. Consumers can also be reassured and confident that they are working with the best in the business.”
